The Department of Control Systems and Mechatronics carries out research in the field of objects modeling and identification as well as control systems synthesis and optimization.

  • dynamic processes modeling and simulation,
  • dynamic systems and complex systems identification,
  • stochastic modeling in complex physical processes and networks,
  • forecasting with the use of neural networks,
  • experiment planning for identification,
  • methods of image recognition and processing, application for production quality monitoring;

 

  • control theory – classical methods, numerical methods, cyclic systems,
  • advanced adaptive, fuzzy, and other control algorithms,
  • complex industrial process control systems, including DCS, SCADA, PAC, PLC,
  • flexible manufacturing systems, CAM,
  • control systems in intelligent buildings,
  • control systems for multi-rotor flying and mobile systems,
  • laparoscopic surgery trainers;

 

  • advanced optimization algorithms, including heuristic algorithms, in particular evolutionary algorithms,
  • production processes, logistics processes, and control systems optimization,
  • computing optimization (supercomputer architectures, metaheuristics),
  • discrete optimization, parallel and distributed algorithms,
  • optimization in complex manufacturing systems.
